I have always been able to view applets in stationery in OE and as of May 14,
2008, I can't view them. All I get are Red X's. I have tried everything I can
think of to fix this. Does anyone know the fix for this and would you please
help me?? Thank you.

I'm in the same predicament. Mine went out around May 8th, I think. I was
trying Windows One Care, thought that might be it, uninstalled WOC, still
can't see applets. Hope someone can help us.

AtticAnne, If you ever find the solution for our problem, would you please
let me know. I have tried so many things and nothing has helped. I have
emailed Java and they won't answer me, so I guess I have to live with the
problem. I sure hope someone can help us!!

click on tools, options, SEND, HTML options and make sure the include pictures box is checked off.

Then go into Control Panel an open Internet Options and click on the Security tab and click on CUSTOM settings and make sure your java permissions (the good ones) are enabled and make sure that the allow script-initiated windows w/no size constraints is enabled as well as the one on status bar.

I'll try to send a screen capture.

Eureka!!!! I found my problem. Although I had previously installed MSVM3508
and MSVM3510 and could see applets, somehow they were stopped. This
afternoon I reinstalled them and I can once again see applets. If you need
them, let me know.
