some emails to not get downloaded to outlook express

From time to time, when I check my emails at my ISP Road Runner webmail, I
see an email which never appears in my in box in outlook express. I have
Outlook Express 6.

I called Road Runner and they said that there probably something wrong with
my Outlook Express and that I had to contact Microsoft for that.

Can anyone help?

Close OE.
Locate the hidden file POP3UIDL.dbx
delete it then start OE back.

This file contains the info on what has been downloaded from your mailbox on
the server.
